Earth Day: Celebrate the Environment with Oneida Community Mansion House Saturday, April 22, 2017

Oneida Community Mansion House celebrates environmental stewardship and conservation with two weekend events in April. Both events are free to all participants. Saturday, April 22, from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm, join us for a nature photography and clean-up hike around Sunset Lake. Bring your camera and capture woodland plants and animals in photographs. The best pictures will be exhibited to the world on our Facebook page and at our public Arbor Day event on April 29. Hike the pathway around Sunset Lake and pitch in to restore the lake edge and woodlands. Litter-picking tools will be provided. Bridal Series Workshop Wednesday, April 26, 2017

The Wolf Oak Acres Exclusive Venue in the Countryside will host the area’s first Bridal Workshop series in April. Each of the four Wednesday evenings throughout the month, couples can come in for a night of fun and education. Attend seminars from the area’s leading industry professionals,  and meet other couples on the same journey!

Each class will be conducted with 3-4 different wedding professionals, discussing topics such as timelines, décor, hair and makeup, attire, menu options, vows, entertainment, photography, florals, budgets and so much more! Food samples and beverages provided. Classes will be 15-40 minutes each in duration, with q&a, networking and social time incorporated, along with food samples and beverages.

 

Women's Suffrage Debate Thursday, April 27, 2017

Join us at the Cazenovia Public Library Community Room for a free event on April 27th at 7pm as we settle the question of Women's Suffrage!  Susan B. Anthony (reenacted by Barbara Blaisdell) will face Madison County Historian Matthew Urtz as we explore the platforms of the anti-suffrage and pro-suffrage movements. Contact Stephanie Chapin at (315) 655-3200 for more information.  This event if free to the public.

Stone Quarry Hill Art Park Announces Opening Reception for Surface: Emerging Artist of 2017. Gallery exhibition provides opportunities for developing artists. The opening reception takes place in the Winner Memorial Gallery on Friday, May 5, 2017 from Park 5-7 PM.
